How do I change scaned picture to BMP from jpg

Not with Word.

Use Windows Paint, or IrfanView (www.irfanview.com) or another graphics editor.
Open the JPG file, choose File > Save As, and select BMP as the output format.

If it's just within Word, you can insert the picture, then cut it and use
Paste Special to choose a different file type, eg jpg.

But if it's just within Word, it doesn't make any difference what its external
(disk-based) representation is. Word converts all bitmapped objects to the
internal metafile representation, and cut/paste special shouldn't have any
effect. It only looks like you're doing something.

If you need to extract an embedded picture from Word into a disk file, then read
