Hi,

Generally 80%+ of all links are finish to start so Microsoft hasn't provided
a way of changing that default. You could write VBA code to help but I
suspect you are best just creating links by typing them in the predecessor
column. For a Start-start link from task 5 to 6 in the predecessors column
for task 6 type 5SS

You would have to change it on the task information. There is no
option to change the default for the constraint type you will need to
change on each task. The good news is you can change all of your
tasks at once by highlighting the tasks you want to change and then
open the task information dialog and click on the advance tab. You
can then change the constraint type for those highlighted tasks.

Unfortuntely, a constraint type is not what the poster asked for :-((

Without links to make them fall into a sequence and assuming infinite
resources, tasks will all be scheduled to start on the same date/time anyway
so having all of them linked SS doesn't do anything anyway.
