I've tried to lighten the font so it appears as a watermark on a invitation.
How do I do this?

Have you tried using WordArt?

The Format WordArt option allows
you to adjust the transparency .

Because of the difference in text styles in my original wording, it won't let
me change it in WordArt. In WordArt it seems to have to be the same font and
size as I select.
