How do I copy contacts from outlook to excel

G

GTS

I have my contacts in Outlook 2000 on a laptop which is getting replaced.
I need to copy all my contacts over onto my new pc. Problem is a timing
issue. I really need to know if I can copy onto a cd ? In what file format ?
or has anyone else got a better idea.
Thanks

Hi,

For personal users who do not have an Exchange Server, Outlook data is stored in Personal Folder files (*.pst). Outlook uses Personal Folder files to store Information such as
messages, contacts, calendar, etc. To maintain all of your Outlook data, including your contacts, you should copy your Outlook .PST file.

Before you perform the following steps, please refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) articles to learn more about backing up the Outlook data and Office program
settings.
