How do I create a 24 hour plan in Project?

Zach

I am trying to create a plan that tracks activity throughout a 24 hour
period. How do I change the start and finish parameters from days to time?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help.

Three steps:

1. Create a base calendar (Tools, Options, Change working time) with
all 24 hours working hours.

2. Set your default time format (Tools, Options, General) to show hours
as well as the date.

3. Change the timescale in your Gantt Chart (double click on the
timescale) to show hours instead of days, whichever format works best
for you.

Hope this helps in your world.

Thanks Dave. I could not find item #2 you mentionned on the Tools, Options,
General area. I got it working somewhat but it is not as efficient as I
would like it to be. I am using it to create manning/staffing schedules.

Thanks anyway.

Zach,
A keyboard error I think:
Tools, Options, View : choose a date format with 12:33 for hours and
minutes.

Hope this helps,

I'm not sure what you mean by "efficient". If you mean it takes a while
to schedule people to the minute, well, it does. Besides, that's not
what Project is intended to do. It's for scheduling projects. If you
want to track people down to the minute, you'd probably do better with
software designed to do that.
