How do I cut and paste a picture from the web into word?

When I cut and paste a picture from the Web it shows up as text? How do I
get it to show up as the picture directly?

Display the web page. Right click the picture. Select 'Save Picture As ...'.
Save it to your hard drive. Then in Word, use Insert > Picture > From File
....
