How do I distribute task time evenly between Start date and finish date?

I have a situation where I have say 10 hours for a task and 10 days alloted to it.
How do I make sure that every day I plan 1 hour for that task?

Please help me.

I have defined Start and Finish dates for the task. i.e. Start date
="01-Jan-05" and finish date="15-Jan-05". SO, I have 10 working days
between these dates.

But the duration is 10 X 8=80hrs.

As I have 10 hrs alloted for the task, I added the column "Duration1"
and assigned value of 10hrs to it against the task.

Now, how do I have 1 hr per day apperaing in resource usage report?

Try to creat a calendar works 1 hour/day, then assign to your tasks

That would tend to create a mess. You are mixing duration and work. A task
doesn't do an hour a day, a resource does. Assign a resource to the task
then:
Select Window, Split
In the lower task form set task type to fixed duration and edit the work to
be 10h
Click OK

You should then get what you want.
