As it stands in MS Word now, you can add a footnote anywhere which
automatically numbers the footnote in the body of the text and also at the
bottom of the page. It also keeps a sequential track of the numbers over
however many pages you have in the document. The font is set automatically
too.
If I want to do that in PPT, I have to change the font where I want to enter
the footnote number, edit all the font features and check the superscript box
and set the offset I want. Then I have to go the the bottom of the page,
select the text box, set the font to what I want, and type in the reference.
If I want to superscript the number like I had in the body, I need to
highlight the number and set the font just for the number.
This doesn't seem very productive to me.

How would you suggest that adding a footnote to a PPT slide be any different
than adding a textbox to the slide?

Ok, in Help, I just found out you can only put in a text box at the
bottom
of
the page and cite a reference there. How dumb! Word has the footnote option
which makes it easy to add to documents. Why not in Powerpoint?

Do I put a reference at the bottom of each page with a footnote or
add a
page
at the end of the presentation for references?
