How do I download the English Dictionary?

How do I download or find the English (US) dictionary? Or the Canadian one,
for that matter. Powerpoint can't find the dictionary, or so it says, and the
dictionary folder only has the CUSTOM.dic in it. Any help would be
appreciated.
