How do I fix "error 91" when I close word 2003?

the exact error is:
error 91: object variable or with block variable not set


I get this error when I close out of word 2003. There was a version of
office XP and office 2003 installed. The error seemed to have started after
updates for 2003 were installed while office XP was also installed. I have
since uninstalled XP (I didnt know it was there when I installed the updates
for 2003)

Any suggestions?
