How do I fix errors that occured when I exported a file into Word.

I used the Document Imager to scan in a form that I want to autofill. It
scans perfect, but when exported into Word, boxes are combined, words are
split up or put together and the borders are all whacky. Word will let me fix
the errors with the words, but not the borders, or the boxes. Suggestions?
