How do I get copied cells in Excel into MSP cell instead of the Ga

I exported MSP into Excel. I am trying to copy cells in Excel to link to
ones in MSP. When I use the Paste Special it puts the cells in the Gantt
Chart secion instead of the cells I paste them to? How do I get the cells in
Excel to link to the corresponding ones in MSP?
