how do i get the correct size for my web page? it's always big

i set page width to 600px, but it still appears way to big on website. It has
a long,long tail? Any suggestions

Which version of Publisher are you using? Pub 2000 and 2003 truncate the
page length right after the last design element. Pub 2002 is fixed and you
adjust that in the page setup...perhaps use the custom size.

Width and length are different things.

As I said, you don't need to set the length in 2003. I am assuming that when
you say "to big", you mean that the page is too long. If you want a 600
pixel wide page go to Page Setup > choose Narrow page size. Then go back to
your page, do a web page preview and the page should end right after the
last design element on the page. If it doesn't then check to see if you have
any design element overlapping into the scratch area. Run the Design Checker
under tools. If you still don't spot the problem, then post the URL.
