How do I insert pictures from clipart into my publisher document?

I'm not able to view pictures in clipart. For some reason they come up as
thumbnails with a funny purple shape in them. If I do try to insert any of
them, they do not get inserted into my document. What do I need to do?

What version Publisher?
Could be your temporary cache is full, in Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options,
delete files.
