How do I install the Spanish Dictionary to word?

Steve

When I have the word document set to English translation from Spanish, it
says that the word is not in the dictionary- to every word.

Where can I find the Spanish dictionary for Microsoft Word?? Or unlock it
or whatever..

Thanks!

Spanish proofing tools have included in English-language Office for several
versions.
Rerun Office Setup, and choose "Add/Remove Features". On the list of
features, expand Shared Office Tools, then Proofing Tools and set Spanish to
"Run from ny computer".

Ok I did that. Everything was already set to run from my computer. I
re-clicked them and pressed ok. after it reinstalled office, I checked and
the dictionary is still empty...
I have Office Enterprise 2007 - if it matters, its a home use program from
the police department.
Any other ideas??

Thanks!

By "empty" I take it you mean the words are still unrecognized...

You have formatted the text with the Spanish language? By default, your system
will probably format the text as English. You have to specifically tell Word
you want it to use Spanish.

Right-click in the status bar and make sure "Language" is checked so that it
displays.

Select some text and check the language in the status bar. If it's not
Spanish, click on the language in the status bar to display the language
dialog box. Choose Spanish. Does it work now for the selected text?

If yes, Ctrl+A to select everything, then set the language again.

If you want more control over using language you'll find an article in the
"Tips" section of my website that explains how Word works with languages and
how you can get some control.
