How do I make a required form field really required?

When I set Data length as "required" in Frontpage, it is required. But users could still bypass it by entering white space. How do I specify that white space only is not acceptable? Thank you!

Hi Cinderella,

Right click on the field | Validate | select Text in the data type drop down control | check all types except White Space

Check Required field.
