How do I make the slide small when viewing?

I have the PPT that I'm working on in the "normal view" and the slide itself
is too big. When I open the animation pane, it cuts off part of the slide.
Thanks.

You just need to reduce the zoom. The method is slightly different in
different versions of ppt but if you have a wheel mouse hold down ctrl key
and spin the wheel.
