How do I prevent FrontPage inserting   after my vbscript

I have a page that creates a table and when I export to Excel, the in every
cell is causing trouble. How do I tell FrontPage to quit doing this?

FrontPage has to insert an   into each table and cell within a table when it creates
them.
If it didn't you would not be able to click inside the cell to add content.

So, it actually does have a valid purpose.

FrontPage did not do this in past releases. My code looks like this:
<td width="7" class="num"><%=formatcurrency(sa("TOTREVENUE"),0)%> </TD>
It is not recognizing that there is already 'stuff' in the cell. If I
remove the , it puts it back in. I tried the page options, but it did not
help. Excel sees these cells as text and that causes problems.
