How do I reduce a MS Publisher file size?

I have Publisher files that are graphics heavy. I have deleted half of the
graphics but the file remains large. Some of the graphics were cut and pasted
in from another program.
Is there any way to purge unused entities from the files?

What version Publisher are you using? Have you tried compressing the images? Run
the Design Checker, see if there are problems with some of the images. Is the
publication one you have used over and over?
If you are using 2003 or earlier, look at Insert, Design Gallery, have you added
any images?
