If the product code worked before, it'll work now (providing it's entered
correctly).
If you are talking about the Activation code, you'll need another one from
MS.

Does your laptop have a version of Windows compatible with Office 2003?

If you have a retail copy of Office 2003, double check:
That you are using the correct product key. The correct product key
should be on a orange label inside the Office 2003 CD case. If you are
using a product key on a label on the desktop, that key if for Windows not
Office. Note also, check your EULA. Retail version should be installable
on both your desktop and laptop for your use.
That you are entering the product key correctly. With the font Microsoft
uses, numbers and letters can be easily confused. {such as 8 and B).


If your Office 2003 was an OEM version pre-installed on your desktop, then
it is locked to that computer only.
