How do i retrieve photos into my Publisher docs?

Working in a doc and all of a sudden all my photos/graphics have disappeared.
They show on graphics tool as embedded. All other docs, I opened the photos
or graphics are gone. How do I retrieve them as I am on a deadline, Thanks.

Thanks, John. I was able to retireve all photos/grpahics by shutting down &
rebooting, but will take your advice on the drivers. I have a 6 month old
Dell that has already crashed. So, this latest epsiode did not surprise me.
