How do I save a document as a slide show & not as a presentation?

I recently have received some power points documents from some friends and I
was trying to create one myself to send it to them. But when I save it the
icon looked different and when I check their documents are saved as Microsoft
PowerPoint Slide Show and mine is saved as Microsoft Power Point
Presentation. I try to save mine as theirs but I couldn't. I forgot to
mention, the version of the program I have is Microsoft Office PowerPoint
2003.

File > Save As. Then in the Save As Type drop down menu, scroll down to
select PowerPoint Show

As Sandy says but just note that when you open the "save as type" dropdown
the option for "powerpoint show" is out of sight so dont forget to scroll
down!
