How do I scan a letterhead for use in Word?

I wish to use my company letterhead with Word. How do I go about setting the

The procedure would be different depending on what scanner and software you
have to do this.
Create a text box at the top of a word document and insert the resulting
graphic then center it as you'd like. Save it as a template and back up a
copy of it somewhere so nobody has access to it.
