How do I send a Macro with a form via email?

Catherine

I am trying to create a survey which has list boxes. I want the people I send
the survey to to be able to click on a button on which I have attached a
Macro to to be able to automatically have the document attached to an email
ready to be returned to me. Is there a way of doing this? Thanks

Not with a macro.

You can use Word Web Tools instead.

Thank you for your response. I tried using the Web tools and it worked.
Only problem is that when I email it, it opens up in design mode. The poeple
I will be sending the survey to will not know how to turn off the design
mode. Please help. Thanks!!!

You can include a macro within the document.
The macro would be invoked by the user clicking on the button.

For example, I just created a document that has the following in a module
WITHIN the document, not in the document's template:

Option Explicit

Public Sub AutoOpen()
MsgBox "Remember to buy pizza tomorrow. The tine is now: " & Now & "."
End Sub

You could include a macro that is invoked by the button,

Sorry, I think I misunderstood.
Do you want to send the survey as an attachment or as the main body of the
email message (in HTML)?

If the former, then definitely, you can use a Macro. Build your form, and
then see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/interdev/SendMail.htm

If the latter, send it as is (not as an attachment, The people who get it
will only see an email message consisting of a survey with a Submit button
at the bottom. For this to work you have to use the POST action of the
SUBMIT button and you have to give a unique HTMLName to each field that will
be an answer.
