how do i separate split duration of total duration in msp ?

i have some tasks was splited in my plan .i want to calculate actual
progress so i need to separate the split duration of total duration so i want
the split duration hasn't in my caculation . how can do that ?

Are you using the "Split Tasks" tool on the toolbar to put a break
(indicated by dots) in the middle of the task? If so you don't need to
worry about it, the duration Project shows only includes the parts on either
side of the break. Try it. Create a new file with a single task X with 2
weeks duration. Click the Split Tasks tool, click in the middle of your
task bar, and drag it out to the right a week or so. Now you'll see the
start and finish are 3 weeks apart but the duration field still shows 2
weeks. Remember that duration does not include non-working time and when
you split the task the time during the split gets marked as non-working as
far as that specifc task is concerned.
