How do I set a photo to automatically change to a different photo

I need to add a gallery of five pictures on my home page. I want each one of
those pictures to change to a different set of pictures after a specified
amount of time (e.g. 2-3 seconds). The pictures are not linked to anything,
they are merely for aesthetics, but I want them to change automatically
without any other behavior attribute (e.g. mouse rollover, click, etc.). How
do I accomplish this task?
