How do I sort a report by Task Name in MS Project?

Teddy

I am trying to run a report under Assignment and then To-Do list as a PMO.
Therefore, an ideal scenario would be for me to be able to sort the report
(for that matter any report) by Task Name and I do not see that option
available at all. Would anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Teddy,

Go to View > Reports > Assignments. Select the To-do List report and
click the Edit button to open the Task Report dialog box. Click the
Sort tab and select Name from the first Sort By list. This will sort
the report by Task Name within each week.

As an aside, although the column in the table (left side of Gantt chart)
says "Task Name" the name of the field is Name. If you hover your mouse
over any column heading, you'll see the true name of the field in the
screen tip - for example Task Name (Name).

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
