how do i stop the paragragh from changing lines as i type?

i have set up my word document like i want. But everytime i type, and my
sentence goes to the next line, the paragraphs (the entire document) moves
down, and this messes up my whole setup. I understand this is normal, i have
been using word for 5 years, but i never got in the situation where i need to
keep my setup as it is. So how do i hold my document, meaning how do i tell
the computer to not change lines as i type?

Hi, Kingobling,

Without seeing your specific setup, it's hard to say. But if you have, say,
a blank area that you want to be able to type in a line or two or three of
paragraph, but then leave the rest of the document that follows alone, you
might use a single table cell, with no border, to specify an area that
doesn't change size (within some constraints).

You might also consider using a text box, if that works better for you.
