How do I stop Winword.exe from demanding online each start?

S

Each time Word 2003 starts, Winword.exe insists on going online. If not
allowed, the entire computer locks up.

Hi Slk,

In the Help menu in Word use the Customer Feedback
choice to turn off the selections that connect online.
You may also ned to to disable Smart Tags in Tools=>Autocorrect options and check to see if you are running any 3rd party add-ins
with Word that may be using Word to connect as well. The Customer Feedback choices don't usually 'lock' things.
