How do I view things in publisher?

Anita

I've been sent a file in Publisher, but don't have publisher software on my
computer. There doesn't seem to be a free publisher viewer on the Microsoft
site - how do I look at the file I've been sent?

===================================
There is no viewer. Ask the sender to save
the project as a .pdf file and you can view it
in the free Adobe Reader.

If this is going to be a regular occurrence
and you do not wish to purchase MS Publisher...
you could order the 30 day evaluation version...
when it expires, it will still function as a viewer.

You can send the file to me, I will convert it to a PDF. If you want to edit the
file, I will convert it to Word but most of the formatting will be lost.

Sure it is. I use mine in my home and I know very few people who have Pub on
their systems. It just means that having a .pdf driver will be quite handy.

I don't know what you mean by "Home Use".
Publisher is primarily for constructing paper documents in a Desktop
Publishing environment.
And for that it does a very good job.
If you want to send that document to someone else electronically (Email
etc) then the thing to do is convert it to a PDF document which is the
electronic equivalent of Paper and everybody should have a PDF reader,
Acrobat 8.

There are several ways to make a PDF file, some are free, for instance
PrimoPDF ( www.primopdf.com ) .
