how do you close edit picture function in word (xp)

Not sure if this posted already but my question is how do you close the edit
picture function in word XP. It's pretty simple in 2000 but not so obvious
in xp.

Can't find the original posting. What is the answer. I still don't know how
to close the Edit Picture function in Word XP. Nay help would be appreciated.

Hi Barb,

It may depend on which editor you're using.
If you're using the MS Office Drawing Canvas
then it doesn't 'close' you just click on
your Word document outside the drawing frame.

If it's the MS Word Picture Editor
you can use either the 'Close Picture' button on
the 'Edit Picture' toolbar (View=>Toolbars)
(note that the toolbar may not appear until you
click on the drawing document - or it may have become
'docked' into the same row as another Word toolbar)

or under File choose the
'Close & Return to Document'
choice.
