How do you connect Outlook 2003 to Exchange Server 2003 over the Internet

I am trying to set up Outlook 2003 to access Exchange
2003 over the Internet. I have a firewall between the
Exchange Server and the Internet. What ports do I need
to open? Is there any documentation on how to do this?

Use VPN or RPC over HTTP, not native outlook support since you need to open
RPC ports and if you do, your machine will likely be taken over by someone
up to no good.
