I need to create a booklet for parents that contains the names and address of
families, telephone, emails, etc. How would I go about completing this task?

Start with collecting all of the data in a database. Use mail merge to
insert the data.

Catalog merge is the best way to create a directory.

Lots of help here

Have you ever used the Catalog merge, Rod? It creates terrific directories, you
can even merge photos.

no, not for directories because they were for high school and middle schools
and the information was passed to me via Word, Text, and all sorts of weird
formats that were easier to deal with by bringing into Excel...sheesh I even
had to scan and OCR some stuff!...you know typical nightmare.

I maintain the membership database in Microsoft Access for a national
organization of about 400 members. I am able to print directories in booklet
format, as well as other types of reports, directly from Access. Makes it
very easy to sort, group, and otherwise manipulate the data.
