how do you create a calculated field in a chart?

I have a datasource where the data is stored as a factor of 60000 times
the real units. To display this data in a pivotchart, I created a
calculated field which divided the source data by 60000. When I
display the data in a chart, I am struggling to do the same.

How can I produce the calculated field for the chart?
Or can I fiddle the y axis scale to display y/60000?
Or can I link the set of data in the pivot table to the chart.
Currently the chart uses the same SQL Query which the PivotTable
started with before the additional calculations.

Thank you in advance for your help.
Best Wishes, John.

I have resolved this - the original code I started with did not bind
the chart directly to the pivot table. Once I did that, everything
fell into place.
