How do you fix default start date constraints in Project

For some reason, when I enter a new task it starts the project on the next
day. I have tried to enter the date in different ways and it always defaults
to the next business day. I have never had this happen until recently when I
have decided to develop a new master template. Is there an Option that needs
to be checked or unchecked? Why is this occurring?
