How do you open a .dbx file?

Jim Shank

I have Outlook 2000 setup in IMO mode. I made a copy of
all the folders in my Folder List onto a CD. When I
access the CD, all the folders show up as .dbx files. The
way I've been trying to open the files, is: File / Open /
then a window pops up titled "Open With".
I've tried a lot of different options, but nothing seems
to work. I'd like to be able to open the folders and put
them back in there original folders under Folder list in
Outlook. Can you please help!

Thanks,

Jim Shank

Outlook doesn't use .DBX files -- Outlook Express does. The file you're
looking for will have a .PST extension. Look here for all the information
you need on backup and restoration of Outlook data:
