How do you use Project (and SharePoint) in your work?

We are considering the implementation of Project 2007 for project management,
but would like to know how others have used Project at your own businesses.
If you use SharePoint in conjunction with Project, please explain how you
use SharePoint as well.

We created an entire PMO Portal in SharePoint. There are action item lists,
risk register, links to project documentation, earned value (progress
charts), schedules (project 2007), activity reports, announcements,
discussion groups.

Since one client is using P2003, we also save that down to HTML and publish
that. In effect, you can start with a project dashboard, drill down to find
problem areas and then drill that down to a line item in a project file. The
project file contains a hyperlink to mitigation plans, etc.

All in SharePoint and commercially available tools. Sure, we can do it for
you too.
