how to assign tasks

I want to assign tasks to myself atr work from my home. I did that and I received an email at work (not on outlook)re the task with a file attached called winmail.dat. I do not understand how I get this task into my outlook at work

You have to send the task assignment to an email account at work that you
read with Outlook.
