How to book time in Project Professional

Dear all,

I have recently changed jobs, and have gone from a project server
environment with PWA to standalone project professional. I have a
requirement to log peoples time myself against my project plan tasks,
and to be able to enter it in hours or days.

I wondered if anyone could tell me how and if this is possible, as I
can only see work complete field which only allows %.

Apply the Resource Usage view (View Bar > Resource Usage)

Once you are in the view, right click on the chart area to the right and
add the Actual Work field.

Then you can enter their actual work per task over time in that field.
