How to find filed emails no longer available?

Emails that I have filled in folders are no longer there! Are they
"somewhere" where I could get them back?

Have you checked the View settings on these folders? Is the View set to
Unread Messages? If so change it to Messages and see if that helps.

Did you archive them and not remember doing so? What did you change on your
PC between when you put them in other folders and now? Are the folders you
put them in Outlook folders or Windows file system folders? What version of
Outlook? What type of account?
