How To Import Adobe Illustrator Files

I have two Adobe Illustrator graphics files (.ai) that I
need to place in documents.

Does anyone know how I can do this? I do not have Adobe
Illustrator.

Do you know what version .ia they are? I can open .ia through Corel up to and
including version 10. If you want me to convert them for you send them along...
