How to make -66 a superscript?

Printring a folder

Many numerical exponets are negative, but Word 2002 does not sem to recognize
this state by repeatedly changing -66 to positive 66. jim

When I press the key sequence (Ctrl) + (Shift) + (+) then type -66 I get
a -66 exponent. When I then press the same key sequence to return to
standard and continue typing, -66 continues as an exponent.
