how to match number's format in Excel and Access

My Access table has one of the fields with : "Data Type" as "Number", "Field
Size" as "Double", "Format" as blank, "Decimal Places" = 2. Also, my Excel
table has a column with amounts that to be imported to that Access field. The
problem is: when I link Access to Excel, amounts are read in "Format"="*
#,##0.00;* (#,##0.00);* -00". Not BLANK! But I need both tables to be in the
identical format to be able to paste and copy from Excel-link to Eccess.
Appreciate some help here!

Hi -

What do you mean by "...amounts are read in format = ..."?

Remember that Format is for display purposes only - it does not affect
internal storage in either Excel of Access. Instead of Copy & Paste, have
you tried using an append query to populate the MS Access table?
