How to merge two tasks

I need to merge two tasks into a single one but do not want to loose any
information in the process. E.g. the actual work is currently maintained
separately in the two tasks. How do I merge them without loosing the actual
work values?

Hi Zappy,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

I don't think this is possible, though a vba program might be offer a
solution. I would enter the actual data give both tasks zero remaining
work. Then create a new task to finish the work.

How about adding a summary task for the two task?
