How to move copy of Contacts to portable PC

I run the SAME software on a desktop and a portable. How
can I copy/move the full contacts list from the desktop
to the portable. Copy the file but I CAN'T figure what
the file is called to move it.

Your question cannot be answered until you tell us what you mean by
"portable" and what version of Outlook you are using.

I use Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 on both a Sony
desktop and a Dell portable, both running Windows XP. Is
this what you need?

Then just copy the Outlook data file that your desktop is using and open it
on your laptop (assuming that's what you mean by portable). The file you
need to look for is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.
