How to password to a single page in a website

R

Rich Cooney Jr.

I have created a website and now my boss wants one page in the website to be
password protected. How do I do this? Do I have to redo my website?

If you want a secure login then you will either have to password protect the folder, which will
protect all content within the folder, these can either be done with a FP Extensions and a subwebs
as indicated in the links provided by Tom or you host must allow you to protect a folder.

If you want to securely protected a single page, then you will need to use server-side script.
However based on the page you are directing people to after they have logged in you will need to
place all page access from this page in a protected folder or via server-side scripting, otherwise
once a person has logged in, they then only need to bookmark a page, thereafter by the logged in.
