how to relocate default mail folder away from C:?

How does one relocate the storage location for e-mails?
I'd like to locate it on drive D: so it will not go away
if I have to rebuild drive C:

Close Outlook.
Move it.
Re-open Outlook.
Tell Outlook where you moved it when it asks.

Close Outlook.
Copy the PST file from your C: drive to a
location on your D:
Then Open Outlook and repoint it to the
PST file on your D:
