How to replace image content in an inserted picture?

Have slides with multiple pictures. Need to change the image in these
pictures, keeping placement, animation, size, etc that currently exist. HOW?

First, save a html. Open the saved folder. Replace it with the new picture.
Ensure that the file name is the same.
Lastly, open the html file in PowerPoint and save as PPT.
