How to report baseline % complete vs actual % complete?

Example: For a task that is baselined at a 2 hr duration, after 1 hr I would
expect to see the task at 50% complete. If the task is reported after 1 hr
to be 25% complete, I now expect to see an estimated time to completion of 3
hrs, with a new total duration of 4 hrs for that task.

Can MS Project give me these projections and % completed values as the plan
is in progress? Our plans are over 1700 tasks long, and all tasks complete
within a 10 day window. We run these plans multiple times each year. I need
a quick and simple way to generate this information at regular intervals as
the plan is in flight.

If you use the Tracking Table or Form, and enter 1hr and 25% complete,
Project will make the Remaining Duration 3hr and adjust the schedule,
if properly linked, accordingly. The Baseline will remain the same.
Project does not report a Baseline % Complete that I know of.

You might want to review a recent post I make concerning the issues of
reporting % Complete at all.

Hope this helps in your world.
