I am using Window XP, 1GB of RAM, Office Professional Edition 2003. I have
automatic Window and Symantec updates.
After finishing the training Powerpoint class located in Microsoft Office
Online course, all of which went well, I then started the Access training
course.
1. Am I required to active Microsoft Jet 4.0 Service Pack 8, by placing
some type of code in the Window Register?
After starting the 2003 Access Online training practice session, I receive
the following messages in place of the practice sample: Microsoft Office
assist can’t find the database file ‘dâ€\Jan Your Table [1].MDB.’ Make sure
you entered the correct path and file name. Through my limited research in
the Knowledge base provided for this type of incident, I was direct to find
and install Microsoft Jet 4.0 Service Pack 8. During my attempts to download
this service pack, I receive indications that I have the later version then
the one being download. I have installed and re-install Office Professional
2003 several times and I have used the repair function of repair offered by
Office Professional 2003, yet I am unable to receive the practice sample.
I then attempted to open previous version of Access 2002. I receive the
following: Microsoft warning: Unsafe expressions are not blocked. Do you want
to block unsafe expression.
2. Do I have corrupted files that Office Professional 2003 Edition cannot
correct?
3. Is this a security issue, in that my computer security are too high?
Thank you in advance for sharing your time and experiences with me in this
matter.
